The Friends School kindergarten program is specifically designed to help each child grow socially, physically, and educationally. Our program meets and exceeds state standards.
The full-day program includes alternating intervals of stimulation and relaxation. Play is balanced with active play, quiet play, and rest. Outdoor lessons and activities are an important element of the daily program. Math and Science are practiced in large and small groups. We use hands-on activities and manipulatives to understand the basic concepts. As in all of our classes, we practice good manners, cooperation, and learning by example. Friends School and Day Care allows children to register for kindergarten who have turned age 5 by July 1st.
Our kindergarten teacher holds an Indiana Teaching License, a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and has years of experience teaching kindergarten. |
